Tahoe – Lake Clarity Crediting Program Version 2.0

The Lake Clarity Crediting Program represents the foundation of Environmental Incentives’ performance driven conservation approach for watershed and stormwater management. The Lake Tahoe Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) uses the Crediting Program to determine progress toward meeting water quality restoration goals. Further, the municipal stormwater (MS4) permits in California and Interlocal Agreements in Nevada use the Lake Clarity Credits to determine compliance with targets for each urban jurisdiction. The Lahontan Water Board and Nevada Division of Environmental Protection released the revised stormwater tools and Lake Clarity Crediting Program Handbook Version 2.0 on the Tahoe TMDL Online Interface, enabling urban jurisdictions to register credits and demonstrate the pollutant reductions achieved from green infrastructure and maintaining roads.
