Lynn brings experience in international conservation, capacity building, and program coordination to her position as Adaptive Management Specialist for the Measuring Impact (MI) project. After receiving a B.A. in French and International Relations and M.S. in Biology, Lynn began her career in field-based conservation research, assisting with projects in Costa Rica, the Amazon, and the Caribbean. She was then hired to dual positions at the University of Rhode Island: Instructor for a Wildlife Management Techniques course, and Research Associate in charge of the Kingston Wildlife Research Station. Lynn subsequently had several roles at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), first as Program Officer for the Conservation Leadership Programme, and then as Conservation Planning Specialist in the Conservation Support Program. Lynn was also WCS’s Partnership Coordinator for the SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool) Partnership. Lynn is a member of MI’s Synthesis and Outreach team that is working with the US Agency for International Development to strengthen evidence-based conservation and development programming by 1) partnering with key USAID operating units to support use of evidence and best practices, 2) developing and disseminating tools and technical guidance resources, and 3) communicating learning and results.
