Mitigation Credit Agreement Overview

Under the new California Regional Conservation Investment Strategy (RCIS) program, Mitigation Credit Agreements (MCAs) can be used to fulfill permitting requirements for projects that impact natural resources. Environmental Incentives and Environmental Defense Fund are developing the first MCA with partners in the Middle and Upper Sacramento River region.
