USAID is seeking external feedback on the new draft guidance, Collecting Feedback from Beneficiaries of Development Programs: A Guide for USAID Implementing Partners,” co-authored by Jennifer Kuzara, Deputy Chief of Party of the Program Cycle Mechanism (PCM). USAID commissioned PCM support in compiling this draft guidance for implementing partners to integrate beneficiary feedback into their development programs.

Following the public comment period, the guidance document will be revised to reflect feedback before final publication. The final document will be an important tool for more inclusive development.

We drafted this guide with several principles in mind: first, that development works best when it is led and informed by diverse members of the communities intended to be served; second, that inclusive development can only be realized with safe avenues for communication about people’s direct experiences with programming; and third, donors and implementers of development programming are accountable to the communities where they program, and this accountability relies on rigorous and meaningful ways to understand how people access and are affected by programs. I am proud to be a co-author,” said Dr. Kuzara.

USAID will host a webinar to discuss the draft document on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 10:30 am ET. Register here.
