Eileen brings over 17 years of experience managing programs aimed at improving biodiversity conservation and increasing economic growth. As Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID Measuring Impact II program, Eileen applies her talents in strategic planning, project administration, and team building towards increasing the impacts of biodiversity conservation and natural resource management programs.

Eileen played a pivotal management role in the design and implementation of USAID Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance (GSTA), which aimed at improving protected area management, creating community-based enterprises, and strengthening local stewardship for biodiversity. Prior to the GSTA, Eileen managed ecotourism program development and capacity building at Conservation International – helping to bring benefits to communities from conservation efforts. Eileen authored Linking Tourism, Conservation and Communities: A Tourism Assessment Process and Project Development for Sustainable Tourism: A Step-by-Step Approach. She taught both courses through a joint George Washington University – United Nations World Tourism Organization online program for over 7 years. She has also consulted on strategic planning, program development, and capacity building programs and as a consultant and Partner at Navigo International.

Eileen is passionate about improving operations and management of programs to increase biodiversity conservation impacts and benefits to local communities.
