Kathleen brings over 15 years of experience in conservation and international development to her role as a Senior Associate supporting the Measuring Impact project for USAID, with specific focus on capacity development, program planning standards, and combating wildlife trafficking. Her skills in strategic planning, technical writing and communications, project leadership, and client management allow her to support several facets of the International Conservation practice area.

Kathleen has experience supporting natural resources management projects in North America, Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. She has implemented conservation-oriented projects for international NGOs in all three regions, spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer improving rural inland aquaculture in Cameroon, and built her own business and client base as an independent international conservation consultant. Kathleen also led a field-based independent research project in South Africa that provided essential data to improve the management of a small-scale fishery important for food security among rural communities.

Kathleen is motivated to design and lead projects that sustainably advance human well being by improving outcomes for species, ecosystems, and ecosystem services.
