Mary Liz brings almost 15 years of international development experience to her role as Senior Associate with EI’s Latin America and Caribbean Portfolio. In this capacity, she collaborates with internal and external clients and key stakeholders to support strategy and planning, new business development, organizational learning, and program management for the entire portfolio.
Previously, Mary Liz served as a Senior Program Manager with Global Communities, where she supported implementation across a diverse portfolio of programs throughout Latin America and coordinated with various stakeholders to achieve project goals and ensure operational excellence. In her role, she collaborated with field-based project teams on community-based environmental resilience activities to develop local solutions and undertake climate adaptation initiatives. She also served in the Peace Corps as a Municipal Development Volunteer in Guatemala working with local leaders and community groups in identifying and prioritizing needs to better serve their community.
Mary Liz aspires to empower local communities in building their own environmental resilience strategies through collective planning based on climate-informed decisions.
