Pamela Ferro Acuña serves as a Communications Associate with USAID’s Amazon Regional Environmental Program (AREP). With more than eight years of experience in sustainable development, Pamela brings specialized knowledge in the design and implementation of communication strategies that raise awareness and mobilize the community towards action to her role at EI.

Before joining Environmental Incentives, Pamela worked in the private sector where she gained experience with socio-environmental indicators for CO2, solid waste inventories, and projects linked to the Amazon.

Pamela is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals, leading her to get involved in initiatives that address gender equality. Currently, she is studying for a master’s degree in Gender Studies and is deepening her understanding of the needs to drive significant change in gender relations, in the search for a more just and equitable society.
