Patrick supports the International practice area for Environmental Incentives as a Communications Specialist. He brings over 3 years of experience in communications for international development organizations and project consultation with USAID.

Patrick joined Environmental Incentives from Conservation International (CI), where he assisted the Visual Storytelling Team’s film productions and helped develop communications products and strategy for the Policy Center for Environment and Peace. Additionally, he helped design a mobile data collection system for a USAID-funded water, sanitation, and hygiene project in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. Prior to CI, Patrick was a monitoring and evaluation intern for World Resources Institute. He helped manage the Global Forest Watch Small Grants Fund enabling civil society organizations to utilize a near-real time deforestation alert platform.

Patrick understands that compelling storytelling and design, regular knowledge sharing, and the latest technology to do so are key to effective knowledge management, especially on a global scale. He believes incentive-based natural resource management and framing conservation through the lens of improving human well-being are important criteria to create lasting development outcomes.
