Regina brings nearly a decade of experience in communications and training on social and environmental issues to Environmental Incentives as a Communications Specialist. She works with the Synthesis and Outreach team for Measuring Impact and supports the Sustainable WASH Systems Initiative on communications and knowledge management.
Prior to joining EI, Regina worked at Conservation International (CI), where she led communications for a one-of-a-kind global program that put funding for climate change planning and action directly into the hands of indigenous peoples and local communities. She also ran a training-of-trainers program for local stakeholders on climate change and natural resource management, ensuring that technical scientific and policy information was relatable for representatives of communities, NGOs, governments, and others in more than 15 countries—a skill she began developing as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guyana. While at CI, she designed a comprehensive publication on forest carbon mitigation for USAID’s Forest Carbon Markets and Communities, which was turned into CI’s first iPad app.
Regina is passionate about conservation because it has the potential to improve the lives of people around the world.
