Sidney leads EI’s Capacity Development and Organizational Design function. In this role he guides a vibrant learning culture that promotes individual development and advancement while continuously strengthening EI’s capacity to create the conditions for human and natural communities to thrive. With an extensive background in organization and leadership development, strategic planning, and change management, Sidney supports EI’s talented and inspired staff to create and scale solutions that meet the needs of our partners and local communities around the world.

Before joining EI, Sidney was an organization and leadership development consultant working with USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, Office of Inspector General, and Office of Transition Initiatives, as well as the EPA and US Forest Service International Programs. He worked under the auspices of Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy Initiative to coalesce and prepare business leaders from across Ethiopia to take concerted climate action, leading to the foundation of the Ethiopian Climate Finance Network. Sidney is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer.

Sidney believes strongly that climate action is not about saving the planet, but about saving all human communities around the world with equal urgency.
