Stephan draws on more than three years of experience in communications for international environmental trust funds to his role as Knowledge Management & Online Content Specialist for Environmental Incentives, supporting USAID’s Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK) initiative. In addition to developing a deep understanding of the power of visual communications and social media as a tool for effecting change, he has worked on initiatives related to climate change, water conservation, and pollution reduction.

Stephan comes to Environmental Incentives from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), where he served as web producer. His experience at GEF ranged from writing stories and engaging with partners across agencies and focal areas to managing multiple websites and developing media for use in exhibitions. Prior to working with GEF, Stephan served in a similar role at the Climate Investment Funds.

Stephan believes that lasting impacts can be derived from strong storytelling, and that modern technology presents a wealth of opportunity for maximizing outreach. Through his passion for digital storytelling, he hopes to drive dialogues about our responsibility for the planet.
