Tyler Breen is a Project Associate with the Latin America & Caribbean Environment Support Services Contract (LAC ESSC). In this role, he provides technical and logistical support to USAID-funded programs and analyses. Tyler brings more than eight years of experience in community development, environmental analysis, and project implementation throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before joining the LAC ESSC team, Tyler provided technical and capacity assistance to grant partners focused on educational attainment for underserved student populations in Southeast Alaska. Prior to that, he taught as adjunct faculty in International Development and Public Health with a focus on community engagement in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

Tyler believes that genuine stakeholder buy-in and trusting relationships are key to identifying the pressure points for implementing effective conservation strategies. He aspires to help create structures and frameworks that foster mutually beneficial relationships based in environmental justice.
