Abby Cox is a Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist supporting USAID’s Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK) Contract. She has a background in environmental science and more than six years of experience in client-facing communications and outreach.
Before joining Environmental Incentives, Abby worked as a Senior Communications Specialist supporting clients in the Department of Defense with communications, event planning, and outreach. Previously, she was a Program Coordinator with Living Classrooms facilitating overnight environmental education programming for D.C. public school fifth graders. Abby is combining her professional communications background with her passion for sharing environmental knowledge to create impactful work with EI and our partners.
Abby believes accessible and concise communications are critical for protecting the environment and halting climate change. Once people have some understanding of environmental challenges, she feels everyone can contribute to these goals by making simple changes like committing to recycling, choosing public transportation, and voting for political leaders who are committed to environmental protection.
