Laurel has nearly a decade of experience in international development and environmental programming, specializing in climate change, resilience, and natural resource management. As a Senior Associate at Environmental Incentives, she supports USAID’s Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Bureau and Missions in designing evidence-based programming, facilitating workshops, and advancing knowledge management products to improve development results.
Prior to joining Environmental Incentives, Laurel worked as a climate organizer in the U.S., an agroforestry extension agent with Peace Corps Senegal, and a community garden coordinator in New York. She holds an MPA from American University and a BA in Environmental Studies from Connecticut College.
Laurel is proficient in French, Spanish, and Wolof, and brings a passion for cross-sectoral climate integration and connecting people to solutions that address environmental challenges.
