Lexine is the Deputy Chief of Party for USAID’s Improving Design, Evidence and Learning activity. She previously served as Outreach and Uptake Lead for Measuring Impact II and led multiple workstreams including strengthening evidence-based practice and integrating climate change considerations into USAID’s biodiversity programming.

Lexine has over twenty years of development experience, working at the nexus of social, environmental, and economic policies and practice. She is an experienced facilitator of strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation projects and has worked in communities from northern Minnesota to rural Jordan. Most recently, Lexine led the Sustainable Landscape team at USAID and was the U.S. government representative to Tropical Forest Alliance 2020, a global public-private partnership to reduce commodity-driven tropical deforestation.

Lexine is passionate about improving development practice through constant learning and adaptation—there’s not a moment to lose in protecting people and the ecosystems upon which they depend. Lexine is particularly excited about opportunities to partner with global consumers and supply chains to transform the market demands which often drive environmental degradation and unsustainable practices.

We can co-create lasting change.
