Emma serves as a Senior Associate at Environmental Incentives, where she leads and supports the planning and implementation of several USAID contracts in the Latin America and Caribbean region focused on conservation and broader environmental challenges. Emma brings over ten years of experience in international development, with a focus on project management, facilitation, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes. She leads client relationships and contributes to the development of technical work products, while facilitating adaptive management processes for diverse stakeholder groups.
Prior to joining EI, Emma worked with Dexis Consulting Group as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Western Hemisphere Programs at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru. In this role, she introduced new data collection and reporting techniques, improved MEL processes, and created data-sharing agreements with government agencies. She also served as a fellow with the USAID Peru Mission under the Afro-Peruvian and Indigenous Communities Program, where she supported capacity-building and MEL efforts for the Governance and Institutional Strengthening portfolio.
Emma is committed to evidence-based decision-making that drives improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes. She values the power of facilitation in uniting diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and building consensus to create meaningful change. She is particularly interested in developing collaborative platforms and processes that benefit communities and livelihoods in Peru and the Amazon Basin.
