Gabriel is a Senior Associate on the Domestic Team at Environmental Incentives (EI). He is currently the Project Manager for the Washington Community-Based Public-Private Partnerships Technical Assistance Project, having joined EI on the Measuring Impact II Project. He brings six years of experience in domestic and international conservation to EI, in addition to extensive experience with facilitation and experiential education. Gabriel’s ability to guide and coach groups through their work helps teams learn from and develop new conservation and climate programs.
Before joining EI, Gabriel provided learning and technical support as an independent consultant with the Centro de Estudio y Conservación del Patrimonio Natural in Chile, where he contributed to projects ranging from spatial planning for renewable energy to private conservation mechanisms and public-private partnerships. Additionally, he co-founded a small business focused on revitalizing local food systems by creating links between community consumers and farmers practicing regenerative agriculture, and he spent many years working as an educator and facilitator with leadership organizations like NOLS.
Gabriel believes that empathy is foundational to both conservation and development and strives to foster positive change daily by building connections among individuals and communities.
