Jacob Gray is a Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Organizational Development specialist, supporting USAID Missions and Operating Units to implement a collaborative approach in strategy and activity design, performance management, and monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adaptation.
Jacob draws on extensive experience from past positions, leading the development of organizational practice in Local Capacity Development, Local and Market Systems Strengthening, and supporting teams in designing and implementing projects, strategies, and interventions that engage local actors in leading and facilitating change. Most recently, Jacob was in Honduras supporting Mission teams to explore, adapt, and implement systems principles and approaches in their programming. Prior to his work in Honduras, Jacob was Director for Local and Market Systems Development with ACDI/VOCA where he advanced organizational practice and supported project teams to advance the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of local and market systems strengthening strategies, frameworks, and activities, and as a Technical Officer with Root Change supporting projects which mobilize and support local actors in their efforts to address local development challenges.
Jacob believes, as did John F. Kennedy, that our greatest challenges are human made and can therefore be human solved, but not without open, honest, and inclusive collaboration. This belief underlies what he loves to do in his work: bring people together to explore, learn, and create practical, realistic ways to facilitate change.
