Water Practice Expands With Senior Associate Evan Branosky

We are excited to welcome to the team Evan Branosky, who joined Environmental Incentives this spring as a Senior Associate in the Water practice area. Bringing his diverse skill set in research and analysis, strategic planning, and program design, Evan will focus on expanding the company’s efforts to improve water quality across the country.

Previously, Evan managed the District of Columbia’s Stormwater Retention Credit trading program, a novel approach to stormwater management that facilitates trades of volume-based credits to finance green infrastructure and achieve environmental requirements. He also developed market-based water quality programs for Chesapeake Bay jurisdictions, and worked on strategies to finance green infrastructure and energy efficiency retrofits for the real property portfolio of a federal government agency.

Since childhood, Evan has felt a deep connection to rivers, lakes, and oceans. He believes innovative approaches are necessary to enhance aquatic ecosystems, and aspires to facilitate water quality improvements throughout the United States.

Based in our Washington D.C. office, Evan will work to advise and develop new projects for Environmental Incentives in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. “Evan is a great addition to the team, having lived in the world of urban stormwater and has hands-on experience designing impressive performance-driven programs. He is deeply familiar with the needs of co-permittees and has created innovative solutions that protect them from compliance risk while generating funding for valuable stormwater efforts.” Chad Praul, Water Practice Lead.

Evan will utilize his experience to expand Environmental Incentives services related to performance-driven stormwater management; specifically focusing on incentive design and financing programs for green infrastructure, cost-benefit analyses, and improving program evaluation metrics.
